Jay Singh Mangat
Lending Analyst
While studying at the University of British Columbia for management, Jay worked with firms in the accounting and compliance sectors. Following his graduation, Jay got his mortgage broker’s license and is new to the brokerage industry but brings with him a keen mind for numbers and technology. In 2019, Jay and his team won the Okanagan case competition which required working closely with a company to aid their standing in the local market. The company adopted Jay’s plan and has seen increased returns in the last two years.
Nicole Araujo Galan
Director – Operations & Client Care
Graduated from the University of British Columbia, Nicole’s leadership and outstanding academic performance have been recognized with important international awards. Nicole’s humble background is her motivation to create opportunities for those, who like her, are driven, tenacious and committed to deliver excellent results. Her diligence and extensive experience in public speaking and customer services makes her the perfect representative in our company to support the most important asset at Syndicate Lending Corporation: our clients.
Nicole provides strategic client direction while identifying opportunities to continually improve our relationships and communication with our client base. Nicole also aids our founder and CEO Inam Qureshi with administrative work, facilitating collaboration across departments and managing our office budget. Nicole is especially skilled at developing long-term operational strategies, working closely with brokers, clients and partners in order to meet our company objectives. Nicole oversees all operations and ensures that consistent, efficient workflows are in place, yielding optimal productivity and performance.
Nina Raybaudo
Director – Strategic Initiatives
Nina Raybaudo is our Communication and Marketing Strategist for our UK office.
Working closely with our Vancouver marketing team and brings an innovative approach to business scaling.
Nina is a 2020 Masters graduate in Interactive Journalism from City, University of London with a keen interest in finance.
Her areas of expertise range from data analysis, in depth market studies and developing communication strategies.
She has previously worked as a communication officer for Amal Association International, Touma Trading and as a journalist for Annahar and French magazine Paulette.
Nina practised ballet most of her life and approaches everything with meticulousness and discipline. In her spare time, Nina likes to reconnect with nature through travel and outdoor activities.
Adam Merali
In House Legal Counsel
Adam is SLC’s legal representative, advising all our clients on Real Estate transactions. Adam gained commercial experience in the real estate industry and has worked for companies such as DTZ, Gerald Eve and Aviva Investors. He has a track record of personal success in commercial and residential property investment. Adam then moved into law and specialises in real estate, with particular focus on residential and commercial property transactions including conveyancing, refinancing and residential development. Adam is a founding partner Merali Beedle.
Inam Qureshi
Founder
A seasoned banker with over a decade of banking experience, Inam has held several senior level positions in real estate secured lending with BMO Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and TD Canada Trust respectively.
He brings together years of commercial lending expertise and has funded over a billion dollars in mortgage loans over his career working in the banking industry. During his previous tenure at TD Canada Trust, he was responsible for growing market share in the Business Banking Space, where he established key contacts with Ultra High Net Worth Clients as well as various syndicate lenders. Subsequently, he grew his portfolio within TD from scratch and scaled it significantly.
Inam is currently licensed by the British Columbia Financial Services Authority as a designated individual for the firm. He is a member of the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association – BC chapter and holds the ‘MBI’ Designation awarded by the association in 2018. He has participated in various lending and banking courses throughout his career.
In 2015, he embarked on an entrepreneurial drive and set up Syndicate Lending Corporation as Principal. Consequently, he funded over 25 Million dollars in loans in his first year of operations and was recognised by CMP Magazine as a “Young Gun” in their July 17th issue, highlighting 55 of Canada’s top mortgage professionals. Community engagement has always been an important aspect of his practise
He is the main driving force behind the firm’s meteoric growth and has led the company to several milestones. He believes in providing holistic lending solutions to anyone who comes across his way.
Bashir Ahmad
Partner
Bashir Ahmad has been associated with the banking industry for over two decades and has held Senior Management positions in Wealth Management and Private Investment Banking with ABN AMRO, ING N.V. and Bank of Singapore. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and has participated in various Investment Banking and Wealth Management courses throughout his career. Bashir acquired his Master degree in International Relations with majors in International Finance and Political Economics from QAU, Islamabad.
Bashir is well known in the financial industry and has a history of scaling up businesses significantly, first as Managing Director and Head of UK Private Banking for ING N.V. (later Bank of Singapore) and for his own firm Halkin Investments LLP. Throughout his career he has established key contacts with counterparties and service providers. Bashir brings a unique holistic approach to finance and debt solutions.
Bashir takes keen interest in renewable and clean energy and follows various research reports and attends discussion forums. He is also committed to UN Global Sustainability Goals and has picked Education, Healthcare and Zero hunger as key goals where he contributes personally as well as via his corporate entities. He has also been selected as 10 most inspiring BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) business leaders in the United Kingdom.
Ashfaq Ahmed
Director – Business Development
Ashfaq Ahmed is head of business development for our UK offices. He comes with two decades of experience in banking, holds a level 4 IAD (Investment Advice Diploma) and a level 3 CeMAP qualification (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice). He is also Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).
Ashfaq started his career at National Westminster Bank, moving to ABN Amro Bank in 2000 to join the Credit team. He has held multiple senior positions as a private banker for ABN Amro Bank, Société Générale Hambros and CBH Europe. Graduate in Geography from the University of London, he is fluent in both English and Urdu.

Once a competitive cricket player, it is now on the golf course that he likes to spend his spare time.
Over the last few years, Ashfaq has taken part in various challenges to raise money for charities such as trekking to the Everest Base camp for Macmillan Cancer support, a 24hr 3 Peak challenge and a half marathon for his local youth centre.
Karolína Mlčochová
Director – Marketing and Media Relations
Graduate in Promotional Art from the Art College in Ostrava, Karolína’s areas of expertise range from corporate graphic design, promotional illustration, to marketing – she has excellent communicative skills whether in person or through Social Media and always approaches promotion and media relations in an original, clear and united attitude.
She has worked for Artfinder in London, Optys spol s.r.o. in Czech Republic and M&M designflex, s r.o., where she gained a lot of experience in CI design and managing promotional projects across several countries in Europe. Her role at Syndicate Lending Corporation is to introduce our team and services to the potential clients in a professional and approachable way, with the help of her artistic mind that brings a unique touch to business. Her goal is to help forge Syndicate Lending Corporation’s brand identity.
Emily (Naghmeh) Hedayat
Barrister & Solicitor
Emily Hedayat, was born in Iran and raised in Germany and Canada. She has always been passionate about law. Even as a young girl, she preferred to watch legal adversarial series on TV rather than soap operas. She graduated from Law School in 2009 and was called to the BC Supreme Court Bar in September of 2010.
Emily continued practising law, as an Associates at Des Friendland & Associates, a boutique firm downtown, before gearing up and starting her own law office in 2014 “Hedayat Law Corporation”. Emily’s main focus lies in Real Estate, Immigration, Personal Injury, Wills and Estate matters.
Emily’s diverse background and career path, often dealing with very challenging, yet interesting and awarding legal matters have taught her that professionalism, dignity, due diligence and client satisfaction are key to a successful practice.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys reading books, spending time with her family and close friends and venturing out in new exotic restaurants.
Dalbir Gill

With 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Dalbir Gill has built a reliable reputation across different communities for himself. As a Senior Mortgage Analyst, he is well known for his efficiency while attending to a variety of complex lending deals. With work experience in several positions for the past two decades at credit unions and banks, he has become equipped with a fine set of skills and knowledge of all lending products, whether they are residential or commercial.
Having been in the financial industry for many years, Dalbir is currently licensed by the British Columbia Financial Services Authority as a designated mortgage broker in commercial and residential lending. He has years of lending experience and has funded millions of dollars in mortgage loans in the financial sector. Dalbir is committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere in which clients feel comfortable and confident, regardless of their experience with financing. His gentle and positive approach emanates when working with clients and has helped him strengthen his networking connections with clients. He is devoted to his client’s full satisfaction by providing services to the best of his ability and he can tackle any project, big or small.
Varsha Sharma

Varsha Sharma is a Senior Partner with the firm.
A seasoned broker with over 8 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
After becoming licensed in 2012 Varsha worked her way up impressively, within three years she had become a Director and Managing Broker of a Mortgage Alliance franchise. In the spring of 2018 she joined Syndicate Lending Corporation.
She brings years of experience in residential, alternative, private and construction lending as well as she has built up her relationships with multiple lenders which allows her to guide her clients in the best direction.
In 2019 she was recognized by CMP Magazine as a “Women of Influence” in their November 2019 issue highlighting 60 of the industry’s most inspiring female leaders.
Helping people financially and providing sound advice with potentially one of the biggest purchases of their lives is something Varsha is very passionate about.
She is also a board member of FCPWNS focused on empowering women in business.
